Jackie Wontorcik, who owns the school but rents the space, said her new landlord hired workers to buff off the porch paint that previously coated the maple floor and to put on four coats of "gymnasium polyurethane." The floor was finished in August, Wontorcik said. "It brought tears to my eyes," she said. "If you were a dancer you would just know."
