here we are on the plane...aren't we cute? just look at us 15 hours later.
here's a shot i took from the plan when we landed in honolulu...if you look closely, you can see the uss arizona memorial (the white building) in the middle of pearl harbor...
and then a quick pick-me-up when we picked up our rental car...jason upgraded us to a convertible, which made for an awesome half-hour ride to our condo resort up the coast...
we were POOPED when we made it to our room - we have a basic hotel-room set up here, with a small fridge and microwave. it was nearly 10PM michigan time by the time we settled in, and we were starved, having lived off airport food for the day. we headed down through our amazing resort to the oceanside restaurant which was just starting to serve dinner (11:30PM our time!) we were seated in the 'front' row of tables, over looking the ocean, and were treated to the evening's entertainment during the sunset. we drank the local microbrew and enjoyed the local food served on their prime rib and crab legs buffet dinner. an awesome end to the long day.
